Dr. Marcelo Crespin is a graduate of the University of Alberta, earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2013. He also holds a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Crespin completed his postgraduate medical training in Psychiatry at Queen’s University. As a senior resident, he was awarded the Queen’s University Resident Award in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Crespin began practicing psychiatry independently in 2018, as a Duty Doctor, for Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. After completing his core residency at Queen’s, Dr. Crespin furthered his Child & Adolescent Psychiatry clinical experience at the University of Toronto. Subsequently, Dr. Crespin returned to Alberta to establish a full-time psychiatric practice. Dr. Crespin currently provides psychiatric care to Albertans, fluently, in either English or Spanish languages. Dr. Crespin’s clinical areas of interest include: General Psychiatry (Adults), ADHD & Neurodiverse Conditions, LGBTQ+ Mental Health, Transitional Age Youth. Additionally, Dr. Crespin is interested in MedTech innovation & application, especially with regards to virtual-care & tele-health trends in the ‘post-COVID-19’ 21st century. Dr. Marcelo Crespin is a Canadian Medical Graduate, a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC - Psychiatry). As a Specialist in Psychiatry, he holds a full independent, and unrestricted, practice permit from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
