Dr. Marcelo Crespin, MD, FRCPC, is a Royal College-certified psychiatrist with a full independent practice permit from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). He completed medical training at the University of Alberta and postgraduate psychiatry training at Queen's University.
Dr. Crespin provides consultative psychiatric assessment and treatment for youth and adults (ages 16-59), with particular interests in ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, trauma-related conditions including PTSD, insomnia and sleep-related psychiatric concerns, and diagnostic clarification where the clinical picture is uncertain.
Referring providers do not need to establish a preliminary diagnosis prior to referral. The consultation is designed to clarify the full clinical picture.
The service operates within a focused consultative model. Most patients receive a comprehensive assessment and detailed written report outlining diagnostic formulation, treatment recommendations, and medication guidance. Where appropriate, brief short-term follow-up may be provided before care is returned to the referring provider.
Consultations are available in English and Spanish. In-person appointments are available in Edmonton, with virtual consultations provided across Alberta. Veterans Affairs Canada beneficiaries are welcome.
